Of course he has coverage assignments. When the back flares out for a pass (screen, wheel, dump off) he covers the back. When Mayfield goes PA with the back, Roquan reads and reacts to the back, freeing up the rest of the defense to read and react to their assignments.

How hard is this to understand?
