So it doesn't look like a lot of doings before the 1st.....I guess the thinking is that there's plenty to do in SoCal, unlike Shreveport or Tampa...but there is a Rosebowl event Sunday that might be interesting...

Rosebowl Bash

Supposedly the prep bands and cheerleaders are supposed to be there....it's the first year of this event so it might not be much to it....

There's also a free fan experience thing like SEC Fan fare the day of the game. I'm taking the family to this game because I think it's important that they have this memory 50 years from now.....so any of the big New Years Eve parties are straight out for us.....but there is a street party in LA and Marina Del Ray that looks like fun plus downtown Disney has some activities going on. thought that some of you might be looking for something to do for what it's worth.....

Heard about a UGA tailgate for $50/person? Sounds like they'll be plenty to do. We're pretty close to the stadium. Trying to decide if we need a car or if Lyft will work.

If you're staying in the Marina, go to the King's Head in Santa Monica on NYE. It's a British pub, so they celebrate New Year's multiple times - first London, then LA. Just go to the London part; it's early in the day so you can celebrate and still get a good night's sleep.

do you have a link for the dawg days event?

we were with that group for the notre dame game and it was fun enough. the alcohol lines were ridiculous, but $50 for a tailgate of all Georgia fans is worth it.

has anyone heard about a venice dawg party on NYE for $175? little pricey and trying to decide if it's worth it or not. I really want to be up and ready to roll in the morning, but I also want to have a blast on NYE, so I'm struggling with the decision making.

I had a buddy that was doing a tailgate in south bend so I didn't do the dawgdays one, plus for me and my wife it'd have been damn near $200 and I'm not paying that much for a place to stand around and drink a beer.

For $50 though and no car or other tailgate this seemed like a no brainer. I'm gonna do all I can to get my money's worth in food and beer there.

Where in Venice? Depending upon the place, that might be a decent deal.

The SoCal Rose Bowl Parade Viewing Party + Brunch is sold out. :(

I'd like more info on the Venice NYE event also!

The one at The Victorian is usually pretty good, but I don't think that's a $175 ticket.

I live a few blocks away from there and the crowd is always big.

Found the $45/ea tailgate and booked it. Looked at tix and there is a Rose Bowl thing included, I think. Need to dig further.

No they had a tailgate only option (which is what some of my crew did) that was still like $90 per person. At any rate, this one in Pasadena seems like a great deal.

The Dawg Days one looks like a solid option. I've done the golf course before, which is fine, but it's definitely overpriced.

For those staying in the Marina Del Ray area, this is what a lot of Dawgs fans are doing for NYE:
