It should be legalized. The amount of $ the states are losing in tax revenue is insane.

This is my least-favorite argument for legalization. If it's to be legalized, it should be done so on its own merits. Why does it have to be taxed at all, beyond normal municipal sales tax?

You ever thought that making almost a billion dollars plus off the plant in one year isn't the main reason to legalize it? However money talks and Colorado has proven it can make this serious money all the while reducing crime rates, reducing other drug use, and still promoting responsible use of cannabis (obvious kids shouldn't smoke it, etc).

Obviously the biggest benefit of cannabis is through its medical uses, which many states today obviously backs it. Yet the federal govt lists cannabis a schedule 1 drug which is stated as having no medical value. Yet meth and morphine are schedule 2 which has some medical value.

Then consider for head trauma and there is a bunch of research showing the potential promise of cannabis to help protect the brain and help the brain repair damaged cells. There is a lot of research also showing promise in Alzheimer's, which cannabis can help reduce a certain protein in Alzheimer's patients, that has also been found in CTE brains. So yes, cannabis maybe can help find the answers for CTE. Another reason why it is so damn hypocritical of the NFL to keep banning guys from using weed. We saw how they about ruined Josh Gordons career for it. Yet you can pop all the pain pills you want and be fine. No wonder why many players are addicts to opiates or barbiturates.

It is many times over safer than alcohol and tobacco, and even water. You would overdose sooner off water than you ever would off cannabis. In fact, more people have died from water overdose than anyone has ever died from a cannabis overdose. The christian god is so good for giving us this plant!
