No, they're actually not. Just because they're putting it on State right now by nearly 20 doesn't mean they're a top 25 team.
They'll likely finish 4th to 5th in their league. Probably an NIT team. AAC is only a 2-3 bid league.

The conference with the #1 RPI? No Cinncinati would be a mid to below mid Team. This isn't a good Cinncinati team.

Neither of those would happen.
They would fight it out in the bottom 1/4 of the league and wouldn't win "plenty" of games in this years SEC.

The danger of an overly soft OOC schedule in basketball. When you run into a decent team the players look lost because everything that was working isn't working now. I've seen that happen to quite a few college basketball teams in the past so I'm not singling out the Bulldogs here.
Mind you, I don't think Cincy is all that and a fancy hat, and I wouldn't be surprised if MSU thrashed them in a rematch at the end of the season. This is why you get your feet wet with some nasty mid majors in those first couple of weeks. You might get some losses but when you do tangle with someone in your weight class you'll be prepared for it.
