I would imagine people are concerned about a few things with Leach.
1. His age
2. He abuses his players.

Other than that the dude is pretty solid. He plays above his recruiting averages.

The other concern with Leach is that he isn't a consistent winner. His teams sorta remind me of the Houston Nutt teams. He can beat anyone one week and lose to anyone the next. I think it's because he hasn't been anywhere he can recruit at an elite level. So he is heavily reliant on out scheming other teams. Works great, until it doesn't. Then he loses.

But I woulda loved seeing the dude here just for the lulz.

Yeah. It was a pretty easy call that that shite wasn't gonna go through. I doubt Leach would have actually even taken the job.

One thing I know about Leach is he loves him some him. I have a hard time believing he would be okay with everyone in the country knowing he was Tennessee's 8th choice (that we are aware of). Lol
