I believe the money allocated for assistants is high, because it will give Luke an opportunity to bring in more eyes to help him assess where the Rebels need to concentrate in order to improve.

You would hope that Luke and his staff would sit down at the end of the season and assess their weaknesses. The extra money for staff could bring in some quality coaches on the outside to help with the assessment.

I think you give the OC and DC one more season. Assess their weaknesses put in place the changes needed in order to improve and then see what results they can bring about.

The offense is close. More balance and the ability to identify defensive adjustments in the 2nd half in order to keep the offense from getting shut down in the 2nd half.

The defense needs a lot of work. The defensive line appeared better at the end of the season. Speaks being moved around seem to help. Maybe he needs to drop to 260 lbs and become a LB. He could fill some holes in the middle. Can we retain Patrick Willis to coach him into that position?

The secondary needs to be better on the ball. They need to be more aggressive on the edges in support of the run.

They all need an adjustment in attitude when tackling. There should be nothing but bad intentions going through the minds of the tacklers when attempting to tackle.

Find some players who like to hear the ball carriers moan and groan after being tackled. Players who understand that you can take a player's will by dominating them with extreme physical contact. Players who will impose their will.

We need some bullies on the defensive side of the ball. We need some bad asses that scare the opposing players.

I think Breeland Speaks could be that player.
