I see what you're saying. However, I don't think you can eliminate conference title games without shrinking conferences. You can't count on declaring a champ with 14 teams and 8 games.

Technically it would be 9 games, as you could add a conference game for each team the week of the current SECCG. In addition, everyone could get rid of one cupcake OOC and make it 10.
Tougher...but more fair, because it’s tougher on all conf teams, not just the two that currently have to play in the CCG.
