I'm not certain Alabama gets a shot, but I am absolutely certain that Alabama deserves a shot over an OSU team that has a 31 point defeat to average on its resume.

This is purely my opinion and not in the rules. I think a 4 team play-off should only ever consist of the 4 conference champs with the best resumes. Not winning your division should 100% rule you out. And yes I'd feel that way if LSU was in bama's position right now.

This. If Ohio State beats Wisconsin and makes it into the playoffs over Bama, that's the only situation that would make me melt. It would be the very opposite logic from last year when they took Ohio State over a 2 loss Penn State Big 10 champ who BEAT them. And it would be ignoring a late season blowout loss to Iowa.

There is no scenario that justifies Ohio State in the playoffs. Even if Oklahoma loses to TCU, then TCU should go over Ohio State - they would have a win over the OU team that smoked tOSU, which would be the most impressive win on either team's schedule.
