Based on resume alone, who do you think are the top five active coaches in college football? I think the top four are pretty clear at least:
1. Saban - multiple national titles.
2. Urban - multiple national titles.
3. Dabo - recent national title, conference titles
4. Jimbo - recent national title, conference titles
5. tie: Chip Kelly/Gus - went to national title, have conference title

No he didn't. Jimbo won that game.

If Aggie was worth a shite they'd hire someone who has never lost

Based on resume I think Kelly or Gus beat Petersen. Petersen might be the better coach, but that is a different list. Patterson would also be higher than Kelly or Gus on that list.

You know what game I am talking about .. .and, yes, I realize that Gus was not the HC.
But ... to completely discount it is unfair in this discussion.

He's not talking about that game. He is referring to 2010 due to people giving Gus credit for the victory over Chizik.

Worth actually has a measure in this world. It is via this thing called money. Something A&M has plenty of, but is also something Joe at LSU hates to spend.

Hence why I had him in the top five. If Kelly wouldn't have come back he would be a clear #5.
He doesn't get to jump over coaches with clear modern national titles.

I would add Peterson to the tie for 5th place . He just led his team to the playoffs and I believe he has been to BCS bowl games before at Boise State . The first 3 are clearly better then the rest on paper right now. Saban and Meyer have a gap between them and Dabo.
