But every US state verbal contracts of some kind are enforceable I dont know where you got this idea from. Plus it was signed in Ohio

And, in most States (probably all) contracts for a term of more than 1 year must be in writing to be enforceable.

sure, if there was part performance of the contract (there isn't here). Look up the Statute of Frauds if you think a verbal contract for longer than a year is enforceable. I'll hang up and listen
