I'm not overreacting to this game. I had LSU last before the season started and would still put them there probably.
The SEC is just so deep this year. The worst teams aren't necessarily bad, just mediocre. LSU still doesn't have much discipline defensively and I think Waters is going to be hot and cold this year. The last place team probably won't be 3-15 like Anderson's Missouri or Ray's Mississippi State. 6-12 or 7-11 could be last and that's about where I see LSU.

Ok I agree with 6 to 7 wins for LSU, but since you brought up statistics. You care to guess how many times in the last 15 years the last place team in sec play had more than 5 wins?
