I don't think that and I really hope he doesn't. Realistically, he could still lose to Alabama, lose his Bowl game, finish a disappointing 9–4, and maybe get fired. Because we all know Auburn ain't fricked up about cutting coaches loose.
In this scenario, he'd be 1–4 against Alabama, 1–4 in Bowls, and have had three years of being ranked in the top 10 in November only to collapse.

Gus and his AD don’t speak.
Gus knows he’s only ever 1 loss away from the hot seat.
Gus is probably tired of having to deal with the expectations people in the state have due to Saban.
Gus is known to covet the Arkansas job due to family and fandom ties.
Gus is probably tired of the feast or famine nature of Auburn football...even though he is somewhat responsible for this due to lack of player development and relying on transfers.

There’s no question Arkansas can’t compare to auburn, but sometimes people wanna go home. I think Gus will go and I wish him well.
