I love this rivalry. Born and raised in Mt Pleasant and live downtown Charleston.
Most of my family went to Clemson, but I went to CofC after the Navy because there isn’t much to do in Clemson at 24 when all your buds have graduated.
Both fan bases are the exact same... about 70% are white trash or rednecks from beat nowhere towns. It’s passionate as frick and in my biased opinion a top 5 rivalry game for any CFB fan to attend. I was there to see Billy Brice empty at the half of 63-17, also saw Clowney dash Clemson’s hopes in Death Valley. So many ups and downs.
Here’s to a good game, I just wish my gamecock buddies would watch the game with me this year but they’re all worried as hell.
If anyone is in Charleston, meet me at the Bay Street Biergarten and we’ll chug frat grenades and bury the hatchet, regardless of the outcome.
