Actually, I think Norvell checks more of the boxes.

He has recruiting ties to Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and the Memphis metro area (West Tennessee/North Mississippi).

His offense meets the talent in the region that can be brought to Arkansas, while he lets his DC do DC things, I would think you could hire him and pay top money for a DC and still be below Bert's salary... He also has ties to the state, so it would satisfy what you speak of in that regard.

Kiffen would be looking to upgrade from day one, either to a blue blood program or two a NFL team, IMO. I'm also not sure he's mature enough, meaning he has always been quick to blame others for his shortcomings, so I'm not sure his team would have anymore pride or fight in them than Bert's.

You don't have to be a Razorback to know what it means to be a Razorback, if you are morbidly obese or blame your players for your plays not working, you are lacking what it takes to be a Razorback...
