I'd take that all things considered and would be nice to play a team we have so much history with.

Would be pretty nice all things considered because ISU is having a great year for their standards and Mizzou looked like the worst team in the nation to start the year and should be bowl bound unless they shite the bed. Hopefully Odom has learned some things in his 2nd year and builds off of it.

Kentucky or South Carolina are going to the Liberty.
If we become bowl eligible we are most likely going to Birmingham.

I've seen a couple projections sending us to the liberty.
I guess they project us to win out.

Bowl eligible teams so far.
Georgia
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Miss St
UK
USC
Ole Miss is ineligible, unlikely that Florida, UT, Vandy or Arkansas get to 6 wins.
aTm will become bowl eligible, and likely Mizzou.
So that would be 9 bowl eligible SEC teams
We have at least 10 bowl tie ins, so its likely we dont even fill those slots.
Looking a little deeper, and the Liberty bowl looks like a very possible destination. Id see aTm in the Birmingham bowl. If the SEC gets two teams in the playoff, which is looking like a distinct possibility then we'd likely only have 8 teams to fill 10 spots.
Citrus Bowl gets the 1st non playoff pick, then the other bowls are placed mostly due to matchups. Liberty Bowl and Texas Bowl both have Big 12 tie ins. Seems likely.

I saw where the Tax Slayer Bowl in Jax may want us WHEN we become bowl eligible. It's in Jax so I'll probably go

THAT would certainly be a game that if Odom coached well and won, it’d help his case in deserving to come back.
We need a quality bowl game opponent to also determine if this turn around has been smoke and mirrors like last season or it’s actually legitimate.

if we win out we still have to jump one team to get to the liberty, likely either KY, aTm, or SC. Really the only shot there is aTm and we would have to win out and they would have to lose out. Maybe if KY loses out.
taxslayer is even less likely.
anyone can write a projection. Search through the hundreds that are out there right now you can find something you want to hear.
I hear Birmingham is nice

I don’t think that’s how the bowls work in the SEC.

Its not.
There is no pecking order past the Citrus Bowl.
These are the "pool of six" bowls for the SEC.
This is how they are determined
Then after that
We are not likely to go to the Birminghman Bowl because
1. The SEC is not likely to fill all of it's bowl slots
2. It's possible we finish with a better record than aTm
3. The SEC very well may get two teams in the playoff.
Liberty Bowl looks like a pretty good bet.

Texas Bowl (Houston, TX) vs. Big 12 Dec. 27, 9 pm ESPN
Belk Bowl (Charlotte, NC) vs. ACC Dec. 29, 1 pm ESPN
Liberty Bowl (Memphis, TN) vs. Big 12 Dec. 30, 12:30 p.m. ABC
This is how they are determined
quote:
After the Citrus Bowl selects a team, there will be a pool of six bowls and the Conference, in consultation with the institutions and the bowls, will make the assignments for these six bowl games from all eligible SEC teams.
Then after that
quote:
*The Birmingham Bowl selects after the CFP, Citrus Bowl and the Pool of Six Bowls (Outback Bowl, TaxSlayer Bowl, Music City Bowl, Texas Bowl, Belk Bowl and Liberty Bowl).
**The Independence Bowl selects after the CFP, Citrus Bowl, the Pool of Six (Outback Bowl, TaxSlayer Bowl, Music City Bowl, Texas Bowl, Belk Bowl and Liberty Bowl) and the Birmingham Bowl.

You do not have a good grasp on how the bowl selection process works, but even this is untrue.
aTm is 5-4 at the moment.
New Mexico
Ole Miss
LSU
To me, they are likely to finish 6-6. Id project us to finish 7-5.
Right now, I'd project aTm to the Birmingham bowl, unless the SEC gets two CFP teams then I'd project them to the Texas Bowl.

What you cut and pasted is correct, because you can apparently at least do that, but you can't add to 7.
There is a pool of 6 plus one for the playoff so we have to be in the top 7 according to the SEC. It is true they can decide that in any manner, but what plausible scenario get's us into the top 7? Rank your 6 through 9
And if you think we jump aTm are you willing to make a ban bet on it????

If I can cut and paste, then you surely can read.
There is no pecking order in the "pool of six" bowls. They place teams based on matchups.
And sigh, wrong again.
1 (at least 1, maybe 2) for the CFP
1 for the Citrus Bowl
6 pool of six bowls
That's 8. Not 7. So we don't need to be in the top 7, we need to be in the top 8.
I already laid out the scenario where we have a better record than aTm, which I think is likely.
If 1 in the playoff then we basically need to finish ahead of aTm. If 2, then we just need to get to 6 wins most likely.
Ban bet?
For fricks sake dude. Calm down. Don't be so smug about a subject when you obviously don't know what you are talking about. You were wrong, you got called. Take your L and move on. Now obviously, like a broken clock you could end up being "right" but the bowl tie ins don't work the way you thought they did.
Glad I could educate you

You are never correct. You never care. You'll get this one wrong also. We aren't going to jump aTm, and we aren't going to a pool of six bowl.
How about a sig bet?
Although.
It's not completely out of the question. If we win out as impressively as we did this weekend, and aTm implodes which is possible given all the Sumlin rumors, it could happen. But I wouldn't bet the farm

Can we skip to the part where you two grab each other in the middle of the fight and just make love?
