He lost a ton of the fanbase, but never the team.

The postgame tirade was received very poorly by fans, but the team has definitely responded. Congrats to these guys for being able to shut out the negativity flowing in from every angle and staying on target.

The Purdue and Auburn game say “hello.”

Those were really bad games. Lots of fans checked after Purdue.

I disagree.

I don’t think he had the team until he fired his “DC” and went on the “tirade”.

Walking in the door and changing the defense created a toxic atmosphere, he’s had an uphill battle ever since.

If he has this team ready to play like today for the next three weeks I’ll be impressed.

Not the time to take the foot off of the gas.

You sure like to exaggerate.

Exaggerate what?

This team could have easily packed up the tent just like the fanbase did. Hell, you would EXPECT them to.

Obviously, they have not.

He's not out of the woods yet of course, but credit where it's due.

JQ you can't excuse the first 6 games. Sorry. Beating 3 dumpster fires doesn't excuse losing the way they did to Purdue or shitting the bed against USC.

I'll give him credit only when he wins out and crushes the piddling competition we have left on our slate and shows out in a bowl game and recoups the recruits he lost. He’s got a lot to make up for still.

Why? Did you expect this team to be a juggernaut or something?

He only gets credit if we "crush every team we play"?

Goodness, come on.

After months of "hur dur BO sucks", I know its very hard to backtrack off of that.

Perfect example of what I was talking about with the other thread. Some fans are just too far down the rabbit hole with the BO sucks stuff to turn back. Heals dug in deep.

Ill give credit for what has been done, while still realizing there is more to do.

What has he done?

He hasn't beaten a team with a winning record yet.

You come in here like Odom is beating top 25 teams.

As much as I wanted him fired after Purdue, I do hope he wins out, proving me wrong. Florida did not put up much of a fight but i don’t know if anyone on the rest of the schedule will. Maybe vandy.
Winning cures all ills. BO has to make it to a bowl with what has to be, after it plays out, the easiest schedule in the p5.

I already told you what he's done. He's blocked out all of the overwhelming negativity and he has his team playing hard, executing well and getting better as the season goes on.

I would bet Mizzou doesn’t have the easiest P5 schedule this year.

I think he was referring to easiest remaining schedule. I could be wrong.

How the frick are those unreasonable demands after his idiocy with the D thru 1.5 seasons, nepotism hires, lame duck hires like Cross to put the blame on, hiring guys that get into fights with players, losing the top MO recruits if he even had any of them to begin with?

Respect is earned not freely given.

He’s righted the ship against bottom feeder OOC teams and a UF team playing several men down including a HC.

If he wins out and makes a bowl and has a strong showing in it that draws back recruits, I will Give him props.

If he can’t win out I will remain leery about his HC ability and the future of the program.

He’s done what MU should have done so far in these three games.

Let’s see how he does against UT, Vandy, and Arky.

Why take those games out? SC and Kentucky will be bowl teams. Purdue might be also. It’s not a super difficult schedule, but I would still bet that there are other P5 teams with just as weak a schedule or weaker.

Purdue is 5th in the Big 10 West. The fact that they could go to a bowl should be no encouragement to us.

It’s a pretty comparable schedule to other SECE teams.
SC will play 2 ranked teams this season, maybe 3
Florida will play 1 ranked team
Vandy will play 1

I agree with that. Our schedule is very comparable to a lot of other teams.

But if I told you we beat Florida easily before the season started, you wouldn’t believe it would be our first SEC win.

We have a good chance to finish strong with the relatively easy schedule ahead. Shame we wasted the first half of the season.
