First and foremost... this will sound silly...

You have to punch them in the mouth. No. Seriously. You have to step up and punch Georgia in the mouth.

They have been motorboating teams left and right. You need to get on top of them early and put a chink in that armor. Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

If you belt Georgia one early and make them play catch up for once... you can do this.

This is the problem with USC teams, and it dates back over several staffs: getting the team to buy in for games, especially on the road, and just simply bring it. Get fired up and aggressive, show passion on every play, and bring the house.

We had defenses like that for 2-3 years under Spurrier, when we had all that defensive talent at once. They played with swagger and were almost reckless in how they did it. They had opposing OLs and QBs scared to play against them.

That's a rarity for the history of our program. Especially when the team goes on the road and plays in the other team's stadiums.

Now, with this rivalry, its a little more hyped up because of so many GA players that typically play for USC, and how close both programs are logistically. USC tends to get a bit more fired up to play UGA regardless where it is, than they do against other opponents, minus Clemson of course.

IMO, it will cmoe down more to our LBs behind the DL, than the DL. UGA passes the least of any SEC offense these days, relying on their run game predominantly. They sort of took the Alabama mindset in how they run their offense, but they don't have the receivers Bama does.

UGA doesn't allow much TFL or sacks, so I don't expect our DL to produce much in those areas. We need to keep our LBs from getting tied up on the blocks from UGA's OL who get past our DL to engage them. Our LBs need to do their best job of identifying the gaps and meeting Chubb and Michel at the point of contact, at the LOS. Otherwise, UGA's run game will gask us more than their QB will...

I don't think this is silly at all. The only time we've been behind in a game this year was up at Notre Dame and even then it was always by a touchdown or less. It'll be interesting to see how the team will respond to an early deficit. Like I said on tRant yesterday USC always scares me, especially now that we're playing for so much.
