If he’s really gone by tomorrow, can we use this as an excuse? We need to establish this now before we throw the next guy under the bus.

That doesn’t answer the question.

Lmfao. No.
I don't think so.
The team has playmakers, McElwain just fricked us over by not understanding that you build the offense to your players, not your players to the offense.
Zaire's read option game showed why -- the defense has no idea where the ball is going and with defenses like this you will never win man to man. You have to be creative, and McElwain has pretty much proven that he has no intention of being creative.
I'd like to see the direction the team takes when he leaves.

No.
Next year's recruiting class will be sick if whomever steps in can keep it together.

If we get Mullen or Kelly, they'll be more than capable to keep the class together. No promises are going to change at all.

I'm still hoping for Kiffin. If there's anyone that can turn this shite show offense around it's Kiffin. Plus he's recruited well in Florida. He knows how to recruit and get kids excited.
But getting rid of Butter's will be a boom to recruiting. Kids have been coming to UF in spite of him. This guy is one of the worst coaches in the SEC. Would you be excited if he was sitting in your living room with his frumpy clothes, Gomer Pyle persona and bad breath/yellow teeth? frick that dude.

We desperately need linebackers

No to Kiffin -- I just don't trust him at all. I'd take him as an OC any day of the week, but I like that Mullen has stayed in one place and done well in a really tough division of the conference.
He's already been at Florida, he's in the SEC and has pipelines to other states withint he SEC. He's shown he can recruit SEC talent with lesser resources and has a spread-option offense -- which we desperately need.

Probably 18 starters back on offense and defense? Hell no the cupboards not bare.
I'm going to say something I though I would NEVER say, but I think Petrino is a very viable candidate and in Florida would have rich recruiting grounds...his offenses have always been dynamic and he HATES losing.
I'm ready now to forgive his previous problems, he has been ok since Arkansas and UL even took him back. In my opinion he could win the SEC in short order and has the southern experience and background to succeed. He now is old enough that he wouldn't look for another job....he would be ready to retire in Fla.

Petrino would be a scary fit at Florida, too.

The cupboard is decent . We have enough talent that the next staff should improve the offense in year 1 . But they will need to improve recruiting to keep up with Georgia and Bama .

frick that. If we're gonna pull this shite take Frost, but frick no. We're going into the dark ages if that shite happens.

na. guy has no real track record yet. i want someone who's proven they can win over the long haul. at least a full 4 or 5 year recruiting cycle. preferably has had success with multiple coordinators and qbs.
