Campbells got them bought in to his program. Ignoring W/L record, they just look different now on the field. Same as UCF who 2 years ago was 0-13 and looked hopeless. What Babers has done at Syracuse has to be commended. There is a handful of 2 year coaches who could be in the running for coach of the year.

And then there is, well you know.

OU game could have been flukey, but beating them and TCU would be quite impressive.

Campbell wasn't interested in anyone except Iowa State. While an Assistant, he and his wife were in Ames on game day. He was so impressed with the Ames atmosphere that he told his wife "if the Iowa State job was ever a possibility, he would take it." A few years later, things fell into place for him to realize his dream.

In all fairness, they do support the shite out of the Cyclones even though the program has had very little to celebrate. But it is Ames, what else is there to do?
