Clearly you missed the part where PSU had two losses in 2016... There was the triangle of tOSU>Mich>PSU>tOSU... Plus PSU had one additional bad loss. Two loss conference champ vs one loss non-champ with a better resume.
Doesn't mean it can't happen but you're not comparing apples to apples.
