I just think it deserves it's own thread, for at least 5 more days...

UF is 3-3, 3-2 in the conference with 3 SEC games to go, vs. UGA @ Mizzou, @ SC

UGA is 7-0, 4-0 in the conference with 4 SEC games to go, vs. Fla, vs SC, @ Aub, vs. UK

If Florida somehow beats Georgia this week, which face it, given the past wouldn't be so shocking, UF would mathematically still be able to win the division again if they beat Mizzou and SC and UGA loses one additional SEC game, with the best candidate being @ Auburn.

I don't think it's likely to happen, mostly because even if UF somehow beats UGA I think they will lose to one of Mizzou or USCe, but I think it deserves it's own thread that UF still has a chance to win the division.

Shut up, Finch.

To Slayer: I would much rather beat Georgia but have them go play Alabama. Honestly, I just want to get the frick out of this year so we can focus on the next. We've already had injuries everywhere complicated with suspensions.

Win out, get out of the season and then bring in that monster 2018 class for offense.

Win out, get to 9-3, that would be sweet. The chances of this happening are like 0.1% but hey.... hope stays alive for another week.

Ill settle for the offense showing signs of improvement. W/L either way, as long as we start moving the ball, Franks having a few solid gsmes, maybe a 300 yard game or so with a few tds.

If we move the ball -- we'll win. Even if our defense is young, even if they haven't been up to our standards for the past decade -- they still keep us in games. If we can just kick field goals we'll be fine.

IF we win the rest of our games, whether or not we go to Atlanta is irrelevant. I could live without Bama kicking our arse again this year. Beating UG will be huge for next year, as well as beating FSUcks. Go Gators, make it happen!

Yhhhep. We beat Georgia, they go get the shite kicked out of them against Alabama and we ride into the sunset of the off-season.

All I want is that we keep this season together for the 2018 recruiting class. Corral has been recruiting for us and I'm not even sure half of the guys we have on offense would be here if not for him.

Please lawd, just let us beat Georgia, have them go undefeated for the rest of the season.

Although, if we won the East three years in a row -- this time with like 25% of our team being injured or suspended, I think it'd be a good narrative.

I think Mac will be gone unless he wins out.

Not fired, I think he leaves on his own accord. Just a gut feeling with the shite that's gone on the past two days.

The year, man.

We have fans harassing recruits.

Fans harassing players. And we love to say that it's ''probably from another team'' but we literally had a fan on here saying he'd dance if someone cut my head off.

Maybe it's all just a matter of having fun, but Gator fans have lost their fricking minds'.

I get the feeling he doesn't want to be here. That's fine, I get it. Especially with what has gone on. I could certainly understand that he's thinking this isn't the place for him.

But we deserve a coach that wants to be here. Period. It's more damaging for him to stay and his heart not be in it than for us to keep a coach that's ready to be out the door.

I've felt for this year he really hasn't had his heart and mind in Florida. After the Michigan game, especially. I don't really blame him, either, because it's not like people understand much here.

I mean, we could be losing to the Georgia Southerns of the world but instead it's A&M and LSU by less than field goal twice. I'm just overall disappointed with our fanbase, our coaching and the season. This is the worst McElwain has looked for his entire tenure here.

It's hard to lose me, but he's come close. Obviously I support him and want him to be successful for us for the next twenty years and win national championships. But I don't see him here beyond next year. You get the feeling from yesterday's pressed that this regime is over.

Partially his fault for bringing this up in the first place, but I'm disappointed in the fans and the media for their role in this. There's no reason or rational thinking from fans. The media is just pouring gasoline on the dumpster fire that our fanbase has been for a season and a half now.

This is the reason our football program will be in shambles for the foreseeable future if Mac leaves. What top tier coach will come to UF under these circumstances? This cancer is eating the heart out of Gator football. Jesus could come coach the Gators and some fans would want him fired if he didn't win a Natty in his first year.

We're still the university of Florida. That name means something. Well get a good coach. But if this class falls apart after Mac leaves, it'll leave us in shambles and the rebuild will be similar to what Mac faced. If the next guy doesn't go 15-0 in his first two years, he'll have his seat warm up by lunatic fans. Next thing you know he's getting fired after 4 years because his 10-2 seasons in the first four years aren't good enough. Next thing you know we're stuck in a cycle of hiring and firing (or in Mac's case, coaches leaving) because of an impatient fanbase.

It's a terrible reputation that Florida fans have put on our football program. It's poisonous.

No it's not. Do you think any other fan base would put up with the lack of offense, blowout losses, etc? Bama, Clem, OSU, FSU, etc wouldnt. Mac has caused these problems by not delivering and then blaming the fans. This class may fall apart regardless. Back to slayer, nuss needs to follow Kirbys philosophy in order to give us a good shot at winning out. Ride the RBs and don't pass 30 times a game.

always thought it was pretty telling of our fan base when SOS didn't wanna come back home.

meyer leaving for "health" reasons then coaching a year later.

wouldn't suprise me if mac did leave for oregonst.

say we lose to uga and win out. bowl game included. that would mean the guy has averaged 9 wins a year here despite having to rebuild our oline and losing grier. losing ldr has hurt too. this isn't basketball or some tiddly wink sport where great athletic ability can overcome everything. losing ldr cost us these last two games. cost us at least one last year too.

need to stop being a shitshow of a fanbase.
