And that's why LSU fans say that Alabama didn't deserve to go.
They wanted OKstate bc they would have beaten them.
They didn't want Bama bc Bama would give them a run for their money.
I really don't have a problem with how it played out, I do agree with the fact that it was unfair to LSU bc it basically meant that winning the west and SEC championship worthless. But for LSUs argument to work, they need to win the title game.
Bama won the title game, so they obviously deserved to be there.

Of course they will say it's difficult to beat a team twice in one season, while completely ignoring the fact that Alabama did just that in 1999. They beat Florida in the Swamp in OT before absolutely annihilating them in the SEC Championship Game two months later.
