Let me put it this way. I would be willing to bet our starters have significantly more snaps than your starters, based on they all played last year as starters...or at least most of them did. Does that give us a significant advantage?

THAT'S NOT EVEN WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

The ONLY thing I'm arguing is that our statistics are not a super accurate representation because a major portion of our numbers - both offensively and defensively - were put up by our backups. None of this has anything to do with Bama having some mythical advantage because our backups play a lot.

IT'S NOT THAT frickING HARD.

In a twisted way, it is. We are, in a way, talking about which team is better and why, are we not? Isn't the argument that Alabama's 2/3's have played a lot, so your statistics would be even better than they are? Our point is....so would ours. In short, I would say the statistics are probably skewed for both teams close to the same. Things tend to even out.

The advantage Alabama has is certainly not mythical. Crap. It's coaching and players. But lets not pretend that the statistic angle has not bearing on an argument as to which team is stronger. Otherwise, why bring up statistics at all? It is to prove, or disprove that one team is superior to the other. And, it's legitimate. I don't think anybody would argue that Georgia is better than Alabama. but we would bring up statistics to show how good we are....Alabama would bring up statistics for the same reason. If not.....why talk statistics at all?
