Got it. Seemed out of character, that's why I put in the caveat.
BTW, y'all are selling your team short. I don't know what kind of season you expected, but you've got a good shot at pulling down 8-4 or 9-3 in the regular season - which isn't bad at all for having lost your starting QB in game 1.

He literally played like 17 games in 2 seasons for us. I was so excited about getting him from you guys, but he was hurt for basically 2 seasons.
Damn so that's why he's been bumming around the Spurs' practice facility recently Sucks he could never get healthy. Solid piece when he was 100%.

excited (well, that's an overstatement, but interested) in Dedmon.
He was making great strides for us last year. Brings a lot of fire to the table. Idk how, but somewhere in the middle of the season he had some sort of falling out with Pop and ended up in the doghouse for basically the rest of the year. Sucked because he'd just played his way into a starting role.
Guy is mercurial, but has a ton of upside. Think he'll do great with y'all. Still rooting for him

I was expecting a season of suck, but take that with a grain of salt--i wanted Sumlin canned after the way last season ended. The spectacular pratfalls vs. UCLA added more fuel to that fire. It's a bit of a frustration because he's been here a hot minute and still can't win winnable games (except for Arkansas), hasn't built depth, has mismanaged QBs, and constantly fields a sieve of a defense. We're not asking him to beat Alabama every year, just not lose to unranked schools from Mississippi or look like dogshit against UTSA and Nicholls St (yes, I realize Nicholls is pretty solid in their own league, but still ).
That said, we do have a ton of talented youth, and if they grow up quickly, the SEC is down enough this year for him to win enough to save his job. If he somehow squeaks out 9 wins with losses to only UCLA, y'all, and, say, Auburn, then it'll be hard for the AD not to justify giving him another year.

I honestly don't think you guys should keep Sumlin regardless of what he does this year. He's shown enough IMO that he can't get it done, and he's just coaching for his job security at this point. Too often do coaches sit in this scenario, do enough to coach another year, and then fall flat on their face the next year.
A&M should be able to get a quality HC. They have the resources, the facilities, and the money to pull in a good guy to get things going.

I agree.
Honestly I'd love to give Frank Wilson a shot. He's doing fantastic here at UTSA.

Any tips regarding guest parking? Spending the day with the Wife in Waco on Thursday (magnolia stuff...) we are planning on heading to tell practice on Friday night and getting to campus around lunch time on Saturday. Heading back to Houston after the game. I saw some pre pay parking in the south side garage for 34$. Is that my best bet? Thanks again

Man, the parking situation is a completely different game than when I graduated (and that was only 7 years ago ).
I would suggest downloading the ParkMe app. Used it when I drove there for a game a couple years back (think it was an Alabama game, actually), and it worked like a charm.

Oh he gon' learn today
Little man vs Reauxl
1 on 1
I'll even let him pick the court
I win, he has to rock a Lebron...wait. He has to rock a Jason "The Jet" Terry jersey to a SA game.
If he wins, I'll get him some Gerber's or something.
