The “demanding” attitude of LSU’s fan base is what got them in this situation. They ran off a consistent 9 win, occasional national championship run coach because of their spoiledness

Les Miles was never going to win them another championship. Just like Mack Brown the game had passed him up. Notice that even though he’s said he still wants to coach, his phone hasn’t been ringing off the hook, doesn’t that tell you something?

My point is I don’t fault the reasons LSU, tu, even Georgia fired their very successful mostly 9+ win coaches. But if you are going to do it, you need to have a plan and not just throw sh** at a wall to see what sticks. Tu hired strong who was obviously out of his league after halfway through the first season. LSU hires an assistant that has a terrible previous head coaching record. Only Georgia looks to have hired a decent replacement but time will tell on Smart.

There is nothing wrong with us wanting to be more successful than we are, we have the talent base in Texas and the southwest, play against great competition week in and week out in the SEC (most years, not this one however), and have the stadium/facilities/donations to be a big player. So it’s not unreasonable that we want success, you just have to be careful how you go chasing it.
