Kneeling is starting to become fashionable. It's the new "look at me."

Blame the president if you don't like it.

I'd imagine though, most people REALLY don't care about kneeling during the anthem...they just don't like black people protesting.

Everyone who knows I'm right go ahead and hit the down vote button.

the exact opposite in my opinion. They care about the patriotic Anthem. They don't care about black people getting shot because it's not them.

Not sure I agree, it's simply that most people don't like it when anyone protests unless it's something they are personally passionate about IMO.

Throw the flag and anthem in & factors by ten.

I'm not supportive of what this kneeling thing has become. Having said that, I'd kneel right next to them if the flag/anthem weren't involved.

I'm white as a box of Saltine's and a soccer mom SUV short of being the poster child for white america on steroids.

I've lived in some of the nicest burbs and areas in four different regions as an adult, have a spotless criminal record and really clean driving record. Don't get me wrong.. I like some nice arse stuff and not ashamed of that, but I keep it under radar/conservative side to the casual eye.

Someone very close in my life was a 10+ year LEO veteran who taught me the details of respect to show an officer upon being pulled over or any other engagement w/ LEO to demonstrate a non threatening citizen.

Regardless I've been pushed, harassed and belligerently disrespected by LEO on four different occasions over the last 10 or so years.

I cannot even imagine what the average African American has endured.

The American public is kidding ourselves if we don't recognize a problem that has emerged within LEO with respect to ego, projection/hate and abuse of power.

It's the factor that drove my friend out of the force & although there were several "target audiences", vast majority of the abuses were focused on AA males.

Local radio in CO tday had a live interview with a native celebrity athlete that you would think fits right into the "last demographic to be a victim category". Pretty much the same I have experienced.

Sadly I have gone from the parent who gave the "police are your friends/respect the authority" speech to a citizen that is somewhat guarded and admittedly thinking "what are these stub dicks up to?" when I see the faux alpha shite getting thrown around to Joe public.
