Jesus. That is the point. Saban keeps him on a short leash because he isn't that good. Saban is a great coach. He goes with the tools that will achieve victory and avoids relying on someone who will cost him.

Look, I think you have by far the best team in the conference, probably the country. I just think that player is not that good and the way Saban uses him pretty much affirms my statement.

In the two playoff games last year he averaged about 46% completion percentage and had less than 190 yards passing COMBINED. Am I just going crazy here?

I'm not even arguing that, but we were running for 10 yards every carry. We could have had Joe Montana back there and we were going to run the ball 85% of the time until they stopped it (they didn't).
