Yeah, Del Rio threw the pick but really that's just coaching. He came in really cold, then came back and converted a fourth down throwing back against his body. I'm telling you though, when we watch the game again (everyone knows we will), watch Del Rio audible.
He also made a good throw before the pick, we got a little spark and the big thing is: The defense saw that we were going to throw it. They backed up a little, it opened up the run game.
Franks, through three quarters only had 85 yards. Del Rio got 74 in a quarter and a third, coming ice cold off the bench.
Worse off, 45 of those 85 yards came off of a blown assignment by Kentucky.
That means, through three quarters, earned yards through the air: Franks got 40. He just ain't ready.

I had this game as an L because I knew it would be tough for Franks in a hostile environment...and it would cost us the game...if we hadn't changed QBs, I doubt very seriously we would have won.
We are so young in many positions and its good news/bad news, bad we will have to continue playing frosh, but good that tonight they got a world of experience and learned to win 2 games in a row late.
I think Toney got slightly injured late in the game and don't get more balls because of it. This was a very physical game and a lot of fueds on the OL/DL.
I saw # 71 and # 68 hold so many times...grabbing jerseys in plain sight...with no flags. Block in the backs? Sure...a couple of times...along with holding our return teams when they punted to us. The real problem I saw was the dismal failure on special teams punt coverage...even if they held some guys, we didn't cover crap.

Fair enough. I have no idea what to expect moving forward now. Every game is going to be a dog fight for this team.
