I am not seeing or hearing any State fan talking s**t (at least in my circle). We are excited about the team and this game but nobody is being over the top obnoxious or arrogant either.
It is fun knowing that going into this game we can compete and win this game.
Also glad to be playing UGA again.
I was at the 1982 game in Starkvegas where two of the best RB's in the nation were on the field (Herschel Walker for UGA and Michael Haddix for State (1st Round/8th pick in the '83 NFL draft). State stopped HW all game (longest run from scrimmage-18 yards). Guess what he still had about 175 yards on 30+ carries. Still couldn't really stop him even when he did not break a big one. Still the best College RB I have ever seen in person. Haddix had a great game too but UGA won a close game 29-22.
So glad to see these two Dawgs mixing it up again. Also UGA claims seniority over the nickname and I am good with that. However, even though MSU has only been the Bulldogs officially since 1961, the Bulldog has been a mascot dating back to 1905, so a lot of history there for us as well.
