Will it take another 7-5 season with a loss to GT or will they stick with him for another 2-3 years before giving him the boot?

Oh please, you know the 2012 game could have gone either way when we had an average lower ranking recruiting class and we played away. You only need to recruit in the top 15 to start winning big if you have a decent coach.

Why did LSU beat spurriers #3 ranked USCe in 2012? Les Miles and Greg Studrawa's offensive genius, Chavis' fail proof defensive schemes? No, it was a roster full of NFL players.
Anyone can win big recruiting in the top 5, especially a decent coach. Not many coaches can recruit in the top 5 though

Smart is gonna do just fine at UGA.
Matter of fact I expect some epic battles between Boom and Kirby in coming years. Their friendship, born as former teammates, has all the earmarkings of a vicious rivalry in coming years. Both with a Saban lineage, both very competitive, one a scholarship players the other a hard working walk-on, both UGA alumni ... both coaches are going to do just fine.
Who knows, this year may mark the beginning of their rivalry.
