Take away sacks and the 87 yard fumble and MSU gave up 41 carries for 247 yards and a 6.02 YPC average.

No..that's just so wrong.

La Tech had 152 on the ground. Let's add back the 87. That moves it to 239.

NOW let's get honest on who was on the field, because it matters. 4th quarter was the emptying of the bench. So those 92 yards you can subtract. That's 147.

Now move to the 3rd quarter when subs came in. (score was 57-14)... Subs come in. That's another 20 yards... Down to 127.

I was simply looking at ability to stop the run. If it makes you sleep better at night to use an 87 yard fumble to make your run D look better fine. If you want to factor in yards/points in garbage time then LSU surrendering a TD when our 2nd and 3rd team D was in should be considered. Regardless, LSU still gave up only 242 total yards (86 was on the 4th QTR garbage drive - so by your standard that's 156 total yards against our starters.

If you're going to dig yourself a hole, may as well dig a big one.

NOW let's get honest...

Speaking of honesty...I guess State fans have simply forgotten the last 20 years?!

I really don't expect anything different this year. LSU is to State as what Bama is to LSU (at least the last 6 years). To say that State's DL is deeper and better is utterly comical. Can't wait until Saturday to watch MSU get their sh*t pounded in.

And now Key is back. It's gonna be a LOOOOOOONG day for those MSU tackles trying to stop 4 and 49. Good luck with that.
