all that matters - dude is a very good leader and can make plays, with his arm and his legs. I'm still waiting to see if he has improved much or not but I like Hurts back there and think he will help put bama in position to compete for a championship again. Time will tell.

Yeah, he's 15-1 as a starter, and got his team the lead in the final minutes of the national championship game. Bama hasn't had a stats leading passing QB in a while. Someone mentioned Blake Sims setting records, but that offense was still heavy on RB.

hurts is a good leader of his team, but does he carry it on his shoulders like a Tim Tebow, Deshaun Watson, CAm Newton, etc.? those teams would not have competed and won championships without those qb's. point is there are lots of qb's who could lead Alabama into the playoffs with that supporting cast. see prior years - jake coker and blake sims.

give him his due, and allow that he is still young and may improve.

I just don't see it.
