Not wanting to start any trash talk, just curious how you think Auburn's Offense stacks up with Clemson's Defense. I watched both of their games again and it looks to me that Auburn will have a tough time rushing on Clemson. I think if they are going to score significant points it will have to be through the air. Their QB reminds me a bit of Connor Shaw, meaning he has flashes of brilliance but can let you down occasionally.

All that said I think Clemson will face similar issues on the other side of the equation.

If I had a nickel every time I heard that, I could play nickle slots for days.

Just admit you another taterhead trolling the board this week.

Goshdamn - spit it out.

Connor Shaw NEVER let down occasionally or otherwise. The guy was incredible. His TD to interception ratio may never be seen again.

With that out of the way the taterheads have recruited well and will field a stout defense.

Auburn is used to playing stout defenses in the SEC. They'll game plan and find a way to put the ball in the end zone.

I think the real test for both teams will be Clemson's offense vs Auburn's defense. From what I saw Saturday, the taterheads have a solid QB with serious skills and they are loaded across the line at WR and at RB.

I'm still pulling for Auburn to kick Clemson's sheep humping arse.

I'm worried about our O line and their front 7. Yards will be hard to come by.

Our defense needs to do a great job of collapsing the pocket while containing in order to have a chance. Easier said than done, but I liked their aggressiveness last weekend.

Hopefully, Carlson is the X factor for us.

We really only saw Auburns D at full strength in that game. Pettway was not playing which could open up more options offensively.

D looked solid as hell.

It should be a great game.

Clemson coaching > Auburn coaching.

Clemson talent ~ Auburn talent

Auburn 2nd team D > everything God has made

Clemson by 7+ unless Auburn 2nd D starts the game, returns kicks, and plays O.

scrooster if you look at my other posts I am sure you will not confuse me with a toothless tater. I am pulling for Auburn in this one I assure you. In fact I like everything in Auburn better than Clemson. Auburn's Meth houses are nicer than what most Clemson fans live in.

Trash talk aside, On Auburn D, it is a bit difficult to tell how they handle the pass game as they did not get much action in game 1. Their lateral acceleration was fantastic on D, so I think Clemson will have a rough time running on them. On the flip side I did not see the impressive blocking and lanes that Auburn usually creates. This worries me a bit.

I picked Clemson to win on the guest picker thread. Therefore I guess you are fek'd.

hard to compare the rushing attack you saw against ga southern, without our #1 back, to what you will see against clemson. their d-line is pretty good but if Pettway is on our offense will be able to do whatever it wants. also watch out for Kyle Motherfricking Davis. write that shite on the rock.

I think having Pettway back in the rotation will make Clemson respect the run and open up some short-intermediate passing lanes for Stidham to throw in to. He's extremely accurate when he has an open guy. That being said, our offensive line was having some issues early in the Ga Southern game that Clemson will definitely try to capitalize on. It really all comes down to the line on both sides. If our defense plays as stout as they appear to be, we should be able to keep the points down and make it a close game.

Definitely a huge one.

I think everyone can agree the O line needs to gel with a quickness. As you said the lanes were not as open as in years past.

Our O line is strong in the middle but weak on the edges. Venables will stack the box and make Stidham throw. If Gus can somehow wrap his head around this and give him some good pass plays for early downs we have a shot. Their D line is not going to let Pettway run it down their throat to start the game. It will all be on Stidhams arm at first to get extra defenders out of the box and open up run lanes.

" That being said, our offensive line was having some issues early in the Ga Southern game that Clemson will definitely try to capitalize on."

This is what I saw and what worries me. Auburn's D did look stout but GA Southern was a one dimensional team. That said they looked fast and that gives me some hope.

You offered as much analysis in your OP than the first response did.

Our OLine didn't struggle with run blocking. we will have our best RB returning and our top WR. This will be a bruising game and Auburn will score more than Clemson and win by 10+.

That you can take back to your Clemson friends.

I was asking a question. Hey and I do not mind you calling me a jive turkey, a jack leg, or whatever superlative you can come up with, but do not ever call me a Clemson fan. That is low man. Do you talk to you grand parents with that mouth. Look at my other post to understand I am no Clemson fan.
