1969 Texas was horrible. I was 7 and I remember it as if it were yesterday. Most Arkansas fans that i knew back then pretty much shut down.
The Stoernover was just as bad. It seems ludicrous now, but at that time we were absolutely ecstatic about Houston Nutt's job as the Arkansas coach. It seemed that we had finally turned the corner and were about to establish ourselves as an SEC power just like we had been in the old SWC. In a second, all of those hopes and dreams were crushed.
