We're used to exorbitant coaching salaries in the SEC. Critics of Dan Mullen often argue that his lack of offers from other schools indicates that he's not a highly respected coach. The truth is that MSU priced out most programs with the salary that they pay Mullen. Other SEC schools would pay that much, but they are hesitant to recycle coaches. Same with Les. The number of schools who would pay him enough to make him give up $9 million in free money is small. And none of those programs is gonna be excited about getting a recycled Les.
