I want Nuss's agent. Get a 300k raise despite sucking at your job.

quote:

Nussmeier had his contract extended through the 2018 season and will earn $832,725 per year. Nussmeier was paid $540,000 by Florida during the 2016 season. He also collected $300,000 each of the last two years from Michigan as part of his contract buyout following the firing of Michigan head coach Brady Hoke in December 2014.

The rest of the coaches’ contract extensions and salaries are below:

Co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Chris Rumph was extended through the 2019 season and will make $590,000 per year. That’s a $100,000 raise from last season. Rumph also received a $50,000 retention bonus that will increase to $75,000 following the 2017 season and $100,000 following the 2018 season. Rumph is the only assistant coach who is extended past the 2018 season.

Special teams coordinator and tight ends coach Greg Nord was extended through the 2018 season and will make $410,000 per year. That’s a $20,000 raise from last season.

Wide receivers coach Kerry Dixon was extended through the 2018 season and will make $290,000 per year. That’s a $15,000 raise from last season. Dixon also received a $25,000 retention bonus that will increase to $35,000 after the 2017 season.

Linebackers coach Tim Skipper was extended through the 2018 season and will make $446,600 per year. That’s a $6,600 raise from last season.

Two of the most productive coaches and recruiters get the smallest raises while the mediocre ones get the largest smdh.

Considering he had no starters returning on his offensive line, had to shuffle the offensive line the next year -- a battery of freshmen running backs, one functioning receiver and one decent quarterback his first year, I think he did as best as he possibly could.

Considering the next year we were still thin on the offensive line, we had two transfer journeymen take the reigns at QB, our best producers at WR were underclassmen and our RBs did seem to do a little better -- I think he did the best that he possibly could.

Now, if he sucks this year when the Oline is decent, the QB should be one from his system or at the very least we should have better talent at the line, several returning WRs with some great freshmen coming in, all of the RBs returning -- well, there's no excuse.

The offense was barren when he came, and he did as best he could. I can't fault him yet, but this year? No excuses, get that shite done.

What Straws said.

To further clarify coaches salaries, everyone needs to understand the fragile nature and security of coaches employment. Coaches move to collegetown usa and bring wife and kids with them.

Staffs get fired at a lot of schools and that's why salaries are high...and should be.

I don't pay the salaries. Doesn't make a shite of difference to me. Who am I or anybody else to say another grown man shouldn't get paid as much as he can by his employer?

I gotta agree with TJ, Nuss has done nothing to deserve a raise thus far. I don't care if he's fielding offers for other jobs.

Nord is just riding the gravy train.
