Second question, how soon will Ole Miss know the penalties... I am sure they will appeal, but that does no good.

The committee has to issue their ruling with 8 weeks. We will know by Mid-November.

They should know 6-8 weeks after the hearing.

Cliff notes about the COI hearing process

The enforcement staff says what violations they found and what level they think each one should be considered. The COI sets the penalties. They're supposed to go by their penalty matrix that was set up a few years ago. It acts a lot like sentencing guidelines used by judges in criminal cases but they can depart based on either mitigating or aggravating circumstances.
