Once in a generation? From 2015-2017 he ranks #23 amongst shortstops in offensive WAR & wRC+ and #1 in defensive WAR.
He's an incredible defensive shortstop and an average to, this year at least, above average offensive shortstop (#4 amongst shortstops in rRC+ at 122). But he's certainly not once in a generation.
I mean, he's in a generation of shortstops that includes : Carlos Correa, Corey Seager, Fransisco Lindor and Xander Bogaerts. I don't think he's as good an overall player as those guys, so he certainly isn't the "one" in his generation. He's not even in the top group.

Honesty are you that bitter and distorted?
Do you or care that a Shortstop is BY FAR the most important defensive position in BB?
Did you even play baseball in HS?

Andrelton actually is third in all of baseball in bWAR. He only trails Sale and Judge. Defensively speaking, he is once in a generation. Overall, he is a great asset and a potential building block for a team, especially if you try to acquire groundball pitcherd.

Do you wanna guess who' s #2 in WAR in MLB and #1 in defense ?
Simmons case for MVP
To not put him on the top tier of SS in MLB is absurd
