I'll never forget being in BDS when we played LSU in 2011 and watching Cade miss kick after kick. I literally turned to my brother and said " god dangit what will it take for saban to pull this guy from the fricking game!"

There really should be a psych study done on Cade Foster. We talk about the mental aspects of the kicking game all the time, but he is the biggest example I've ever seen. When you look at his numbers, they say "Ok, not great but not that terrible either" but when you break them down by game situation, it was an entirely different story.
I'm not going to dig and find the post, so I'm going from memory but in games Bama won by more than a TD (in other words, where there was no pressure) Foster had Shelley-esque numbers. They guy was almost automatic. In games Bama lost or won by less than a TD, he was under 20% for his entire career. It wasn't just that LSU game. If there was a pressure kick to be made, Foster was going to miss virtually every time.

Amen Boz. I never carry booze into a game. That one I wish I'd taken some.
BTW Boz, did you feel the earthquake that night?
