Well, you also have the problem with girls a lot of times don't want the humiliation of pressing the issue, often times because their claims are questioned and they are victim shamed.

Yeah I can get that.

With how many WaPo and NYT articles I read about Trump without sources, I think you could still get it published while remaining anonymous. It would be hard to push the envelope further than that though.

Especially if the perpetrator is prominent and well connected, the victim then has to face the denials of the perpetrator who will be at least initially supported by the administration, not to mention other students who are likely to be unsupportive and even hostile. The internet can be an extremely hostile environment for young folks. Unless the victim, remember these are high schoolers, has a lot of inner strength, proceeding to press charges is daunting and a very stressful challenge. Many victims will simply choose to try to go on with their lives rather than press charges.
