I have said this before and it comes as a shock to many but Berkeley is not as far left as many believe. The production of nuclear weapons from the university is the reason why the communist movement became Big there. It was a Soviet inspired conspiracy to damage United States capabilities in advancing their nuclear weapons.

At UC Berkeley if a student wants to change the narrative he is able to and will not suffer consequences. If a BYU student in a class in biology attempts to prove evolution to be correct is given a failing and a lot times is pretty much forced out of the university. There are a lot of examples of former BYU students who were punished by questioning their professors.
