No they haven't. They looked at Texas A&M and Oklahoma in the 2011 Expansion. Then once Oklahoma decided to stay the SEC had to go with Missouri.

You can believe what you want but the SEC and UT was in constant contact even when UT was looking at the PAC 12.
Thing is Austin and UT never entertained the thought of the SEC.
The first plan was in the late 80's Texas and FSU
But both said no
Then the plan in 2011 was UT and A&M but UT said no and then OU said no as well so Mizzou was the choice
