Every time the SEC has looked to expand Austin has been the first place they started from 10 to 12 and 12 to 14

No they haven't. They looked at Texas A&M and Oklahoma in the 2011 Expansion. Then once Oklahoma decided to stay the SEC had to go with Missouri.

If Texas can keep their LHN I wouldn't be surprised to see them be independent awhile. They have a sweet gig for themselves in the Big 12. They'd lose money if they came to the SEC right now.
