I think the decision was based more on staff numbers and the fact that a lot of new territory opened up when we joined the SEC. We just didn't have enough guys to recruit everywhere. Personally I don't care where our recruits come from as long as they take care of business when they get here.

Bruce Walker wasn't terribly effective as the primary recruiter in Texas. Given time, Odom and Ricker could have normalized the #s in Texas but 2015 happened.
