It feels weird to even say anyone 'won' the East. The East has to produce a champion, by rule. It satisfies this bare minimum requirement, and nothing more, and someone is pronounced champion, by default

Blah blah blah, Alabama is awesome, blah blah blah. Yeah, we get it. Nice to sit on top. I actually like Alabama and what they've accomplished. But, it won't last forever. Life and such...
