I didn't see one the other day on TD but prefer the banter here -- should there be any.
What do you guys think so far?
(USA playing Nicaragua right now, second half about to start.)

This is the most embarrassing 2 - 0 I've ever felt.

Watched the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half vs panama... turned off when they started talking about a water break. Oddly caught both scores.
Younger bro played d1 until his 3rd acl tear. Coaches a couple youth teams now. So during my call to mock him for the water break thing he brought up something that startled me... the possibility of the 4th official stopping the clock for outages and injuries, and only playing a "true 30 minute half." Please tell me he was just fricking with me.

No idea, there is added time and water breaks as the game doesn't have timeouts and is continuously played over 90 minutes. (Two halves of 45)
But let's try to keep this away from a shittierpost storm about Soccer.

Went to the game in Nashville. Not as excited about watching our D team.

What's wrong with a water break? It only takes 3 minutes at the 30 minute mark of each half, and they only have the water break if the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature index measures 89.6 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

I like the idea of getting the younger players in -- we've needed an injection of talent and athleticism for a while. It's just bizarre that we...seem to not take this tournament seriously.
Well, not so odd. It's corrupt as frick and it's obvious that they want Mexico to win every year.
That game between them and Jamaica was awful.

I was in Nashville last weekend just for the USA/Panama match.
Great time.

We aren't doing that. Yesterday's game had 1 starter that was younger than 25. The other games haven't been much better.

Looks like USA-Mexico. Should be a good game. If everything goes right.
Arsenal was on last nite. They looked good.

That's normal on any given international team representing their country. But, those players were not Dempsey/Howard/Bradley old.
Rowe is 25, Dwyer is 26, Morris is 22.
So, your bogus and arbitary metric aside, we were playing younger players.

We play again Wednesday.
Like me some Dwyer. And Aguadae (sp). Wish the Israeli player hadn't gotten hurt.
Rowe has has some moments.

Bradley is only 29. Dwyer is 1 year younger than Altidore. Rowe is 1 year younger than Nagbe. Guys that are 25/26 are not considered young. They are practically in their prime.
We had Dax, who is older than Bradley, playing Bradley's position.

In our last game, the average age of the field players was older than if we were using our A team.

The only young guys on the entire roster are Miazga, Acosta, Arriola, Roldan, Saief (got hurt, dropped out), and Morris.
Miazga, Roldan, Morris, and Arriola got 1 start. (Kind of glad Morris only got 1 start)
Acosta got 2 starts.
This roster was to find which fringe MLS players deserve a look at making the final WC roster.

Wow, you are super fragile, haha.
''We only had ONE player under 25!!!11 and like six or seven at or a little older than 25, but under 25 is young!''
So, ostensibly, almost the entire front half of the team was on average younger. The six players replaced (excluding the goalies because Howard is much older than them)
Roldán (22), Rowe (25), Dwyer (26) and Bedoya (29).
So, uh, yes, that means younger players were indeed playing. So can you stop with your weird voyage down this argument to save face on a pretty meager misunderstanding?

Not really or not by much, assuming you're talking about the forwards and mids. Our A team starting forwards and mids are probably Altidore (27) or Wood (24), Pulisic (18), Nagbe (26), Johnson (29), Acosta (21), Bradley (29). In the last game, we used Dwyer (26), Corona (27), Rowe (25), Pontius (30), Bedoya (29), McCarty (30).
So our A team probably averages 25 or 24.5. What we used against Nicaragua averaged 27.8.

You understand that it wasn't the only game that we played, that there were indeed, younger players before? #fragileaf
You do this weird thing where you
A. Take the comment out of context.
B. Apply a really narrow metric that fits your narrative.
C. Don't ask for clarity, and just insert what you think someone else meant.
Morris, Rowe, Dwyer -- the ones who produced the most are YOUNGER than Dempsey, Altidore etc. etc. So you can stop tilting at windmills now.
