Parts 1 and 2 posted yesterday and today.

Who dug up Loftin? I would think his continued lucrative payments from the University would've included a gag order.

One good thing is at least this article mentions the piles of money that Missouri and A&M are making now. Previous articles I've read tend to lean more towards "what a shame these great rivalries are dead" instead of "the Missouri AD could not commit as he was busy throwing thousand dollar bills in the air and shouting whee at the top of his lungs".

It is also nice to note that the article stated Missouri and A&M both would have been more then happy to continue those rivalries, and indeed went to some lengths to try and do so only for Texas and Kansas to throw hissy fits.

Loftin isn't particularly optimistic about either rivalry restarting. But after working to either maintain or restart them as a university leader at both Texas A&M and Missouri, he has perhaps the most qualified opinion on which one is more likely to happen.

"I think it's more likely Texas will bend than Kansas," he says,"as long as Self is involved. He has a big ego."

I'd like to see A&M win the West. Heads would explode.

I, obviously, hope they don't but I think they will before too long. I am not sure that Sumlin is the guy to take them to the promised land though. His teams tend to start out hot and then fall apart down the stretch.

I think Missouri wins the East before A&M wins the West.

OK. Granted that is because I think Missouri wins the East again within the next two years.
