You could have heard a pin drop in Kyle Field when he made that kick. There might have been a meteorological event recorded by Aggie weathermen nearby with the "whoosh" that came out of Aggy when that kick went through the uprights.

Mike Sherman fell to his knees on the sideline like he had been shot. I felt sorry for him.

They fired their coach because he couldn't beat UT in the final game

That was how much in meant in College Station

With UT it was just another win over the Raggies

I didn't have a dog in the fight, but it was obvious the refs did not want Texas to loose that game. I've seen games where calls were missed but that game was unusually one sided.
