In all fairness to NCAA they gave OM every opportunity to ease the punishment. The fact that they continued to blatantly cheat while the NCAA was in town throws out there whole Exemplary Cooperation ploy. The fact that Freeze aaand His staff continued to lie to the 2016 and 2017 classes, saying this was all on Nutt infuriated them even further. The fact that Freeze has prior run-ins with the NCAA under Orge doesn't help his case as well. The fact that OM claims that Farrar was a rogue agent when Draft Night 2016 showed us all that OM has a program in place to steer improper payments to athletes via Farrar is damning. The fact that OM continues to further finger everybody else but themselves as fault for this shite is hilarious. There "no one can monitor everything" mantra is them telling the NCAA everybody does it.
And now OM sends the message to the NCAA that if their response is not accepted and these hostilities end they will unleash their redacted boosters on them? The NCAA says "bring it!" They are made up of nothing but lawyers and they have a humongous war chest to feed that beast.
