Herman may be all that and a fancy hat... but I can't help but recall when Houston was making noise about getting into the playoffs last year only to drop 3 of their last 7 to competition that wasn't exactly setting the world on fire.

He seems to have that pattern of win a big game early in the season, roll up some wins, then fade in the home stretch.

houston coaches have a habit of checking out early once they get the big offer

Sounds like another former UH coach. ND has zero business being ranked also but of course are

He's only been a HC for 2 years. However, 1 of those years he only lost one game, and that was on the road without his starting QB. Last year, agreed they got up for their big games and didn't have their guys ready week to week. Some of that may have been from all the talk about him leaving, or it may have just been an below average job to finish the season.

13 means to me they go 9-3 in the regular season. Losses to USC, OU, and one other, maybe Okie State. no one else is really that good so I could see them doing something like that

He made alot of hay off that FSU Peach bowl game and then got OU to start out the next season. Stoops has gotten off to some slow starts over the years. Jury is out on kissin Tom in my book!
